    The Kojima area is known as the birthplace of domestically made jeans and a textile town, but this area facing Setonaikai has long been home to a thriving salt industry.
    As a project focusing on salt, we will carry out various businesses, including the production of souvenirs and products using "Nozaki Family Salt," developed by the Former Nozaki Family Residence and Shimotsui Electric Railway, in order to help more people know that "Kojima = salt" and develop a town where people can feel the charm of Kojima.We use salt to weave new connections (salt) between people, companies, and communities.

Yuka Shrine Main Shrine, Yuka Daigongen Main Shrine, Head Temple of the Protection from Misfortune

  • Prayers for protection from misfortune and various exorcisms

    Mount Yuka is a sacred mountain with a history of over 2,000 years, where Shinto and Buddhism are intertwined.The main shrine originated from iwakura faith, and later prospered as a place of prayer for the Imperial Court, and during Edo (time period) period under the protection of Lord Ikeda, the lord of Okayama domain.Widely known as the head temple of warding off evil spirits, there are 19, 25, 33, 42, and 61 stone steps for warding off evil spirits leading from the main approach to the shrine.The shrine is crowded with over 350,000 worshippers every year during the first three days of the New Year.Since ancient times, the practice of visiting both Mount Yuka and Konpira-san (Kagawa Prefecture), known as "Ryōmairi," has been popular, and the area along the approach to the shrine still retains the atmosphere of a temple town from the past.

  • Special Head Temple Yukasan Rendaiji Temple

    Yogasan (Yugasan) Rendaiji Temple enshrines Yoga Daigongen, one of the three greatest Gongen deities in Japan, and offers daily prayers to ward off misfortune and disaster.It was founded by Bodhisattva Gyoki about 1,300 years ago, and has flourished as a prayer temple for Lord Ikeda, the lord of Bizen domain, for about 300 years.In the reception hall, a prefecture-designated important cultural property, you can see many sliding door paintings, including Maruyama Okyo's final work, "Bamboo Chicken."Additionally, the main hall is home to Japan's largest Dai-Fudo statue for warding off evil spirits.
